how is an OPINION correct. please tell. I didn't know opinions could be a fact at the same time.
That is being pathetic. You don't read the whole post, but spot one thing in there you don't like, and attack it. Whos tearing posts apart now? If you don't mind reading the last line in my post, it will be fine. THough I could rave and rave about this little piece of stupid you put in front of me. But ah well, I might as well calm down.
As for the on topic bit of your post, it was voted to retaliate. Which makes it democratic.
Re: The Iraq War
aw damnit, you read my post before i edited it. I had quite a few mistakes and typos in that post.
wait a sec
wait a sec
so anyways. Im not even gonna read nrocha's post since they're just getting boring now. If its our own safety, i think its necessary, especially if we invaded their country. Its cause we're democratic.

edit: so ya. I went back and decided to read your post since you usually get mad when i don't.
I read it. and i don't feel like arguing anymore. I'd like to start off on a fresh slate with you, but its not possible until you get the idea out of your head that i can't think for crap.
There was one part of your arguement, however, that i could not accept.
I clearly told you, as a reminder, about the STRICTER RULES OF THE DEBATE FORUM. Don't you think i would since I know you as the kind of person to start cussing in a debate thread? And then you go and say i was acting all high and mighty when other mods reminded you in the same way. And that i provoked you by reminding you. i don't see the sense in that.

Re: The Iraq War
Riku, I'm going to reply to this as a PM. In the intrest of staying on topic. Don't worry, it won't be a rave, I just want to sort this out maturely, because I think we misunderstand each other COMPLETELY.
Re: The Iraq War
I thought democratic, was to focus on at home issues... And Republic was to focus on... not at home issues... Self defense is democratic, in my views, like, as to say, you attack me, I will defend myself. Republic, would be, a person attacks a friend, and I go to attack that person, who attacked my friend, and then go on attacking their friends, just to prove a point, not to attack my friends.
Of course, it is human nature, after all, to defend one's self and their home. Protect, what is rightfully theirs.
"Humans are greedy, therefor, they are human"

Re: The Iraq War
Oh... I just happen to have alot of friends in the military, so I kind of know what's going on... One is a Marine, and another is training to be an officer, and my late grandfather faught in the second world war, and my father had been honorably discharged, who is also an officer for the US army. So, I think I'm good, in that department..

You get a choice? I won't be allowed to take government and economics till Senior year. Thats... *counts with fingers and does calculations in head* a long time.
Re: The Iraq War
Really?? Because I took government in my Sophomore year. And that was 3 years ago...
I might take another class, similar to it, some point in college, just for kicks...

Re: The Iraq War
I'm not quite sure, really... My grandfather was very old-school, I guess you would call it, he didnt believe in telling females, war stories, and stuff like that, so I didn't really get to know all that much, about what he did... But, I do know, that he did join when he turned 17. He lied about his age, to fight.
Re: The Iraq War
im pretty sure my Great Grandfather fought.
I think he was navy though.

Re: The Iraq War
Awesome, my great grandfather never told me anything about it, he passed away before I was really interested in it. I learned everything from my great uncle. My uncle said that when he came home my grandfather was holding a japanese helmet, and my uncle asked,"Why do you have that helmet, dad?" To which he responded,"The guy who had it doesn't need it anymore." EPIC WIN!

Re: The Iraq War
I live in a very traditional family, girls marry into the military, we stay at home, the guys do their war thing, and they come back, and not discuss it with the females. I prefer it to stay that way. Yeah, I like to fist fight, out of sport, but I believe fighting in a war, if you have to... it should be left for the males, to protect... And females, to keep their innocense

So you believe in the Rockefeller 'Ideal Family' concept?
Re: The Iraq War
Who is Rockefeller??
I just don't think the girls in my family should know war stories, but seeing war type movies are encouraged, because they're an outside source, not dealing with the psychological issues, the family member has to tell about their experience, killing another person. Lets just leave it, at the part, where I am a very interesting person, and I believe in many different aspects, that alot of people just find confusing about me, I think it's simple.

Rockefeller:
Have you ever seen those ads from the 50's with the two kids, a dad who works and wears a business suit, and a mom wearing an apron doing all the housework and never going outside?
Yeah that.
