yay! after a few hours with plenty of procrastination, i finished it. came out quite well. I tried to use some blending techs, but For now, gimp is too pixelated to blend well.

turns out, Jericho isn't that hard to draw xD

after i drew the hat i felt a compulsion to finish the rest. i just had a feeling it would be good

If you all don't know what blending is, its where you take different colors, and highlight the picture to blend in all the shading and stuff to make it look realistic. I'm still working on the techs for it

i really need a tablet for it since it has an awesome Pressure tab feature

Wait, you said draw. Nothing about using a computer. How about we do something that requires the talent of our hands, not a computer.

You can draw it on the computer or on paper, I don't really care.

Alright. And am I the only person on here who actually draws?

No, I do. I just prefer to use the computer since my scanner and scanning software get together and gang-rape the pics.

Whatever, its just it takes a lot more effort and talent to draw something manually, than it does with a computer. There are a lot more famous artists than animators.

wait wtf? your saying drawing on the comp isnt drawing? Please don't insult me hawkeye. just cuz i dont feel like going out and buying all the tools i need to match whats on the comp doesnt mean that i dont draw.

Please stop insulting me. theres this thing called DIGITAL art. Dont generalize all of the styles of drawing into Free hand drawing. theres so many styles that you cant even begin to generalize it.

I used the brush tool for the whole thing. and you know whats better? its hard to draw on the mnouse unlike a pencil where you can apply shading, quick sketches, so easily, its amazing.

The computer does little to non in helping me draw. its not photoshop where im using photoshop to render out the entire thing. and if you think i traced that picture, then you are absolutely completly wrong. if not, then ignore that last sentence


and FYI

Most modern manga, art, etc. is hand drawn (horribly sketched usually) TRACED AND COLORED and Blended, etc. i could go on forever

I was insulting you at all, I was just saying that I think it takes more skill to hand draw something than it does on a computer. It is my opinion. And when I said artists I was referring to actual artist, not manga and anime crap. For example, DaVinci, Micealangelo, Van Gough, etc.

you can't bring those artist to mind when they didnt have computers or anything.

and no, manga nad stuff isnt crap. id liek to see you draw well and meet their deadlines, also, when i get home ill post this pic i made. I made the free hand in an hour. the computer colorizing and everything took me 4 hours.

dont think that free hand artists take mroe skill.

no, its cuz you were basically saying that computers aren't a form of art and that the people who draw on them are lazy bastards (my exaggeration)


So anyways, your opinion implied that what i did was not draw, but splatter crap on the paper (also an exaggeration)
