What weight class were you in?

I was in 215 while i weighed at 200. pissed me off that the only wrestlers in that weight class were seniors that were made up of only like muscle >_>

i wrestled 122 at first but i had problems keeping under its so i wrestled at 127 so i couldnt screw up last minute and get kicked out, but thats before i got fat im still trying to rid myself of a few extra lbs

So despite being the same age, riku1gundam is in a much higher weight class than darkmage95, and both of them are in a higher weight class than me.

I never boxed was always interested. But I'll stick to kung fu and wrestling.

My dad was a varsity wrestler in college and high school
He was also a varsity boxer in high school.


and.. yeah..i was recorded at 5"9.8, so im just about 5"10

It's great! You learn how to block, attack, parry, and dodge using relatively simple moves. Plus, as part of the training regimen, you do a lot of cardio and strength training exercises, which are great for getting in shape. The problem with many martial arts is that while they make for a very effective means of defending yourself once you've become proficient with their techniques, it takes a very long time to reach the level of skill needed to apply them in a real fight. Make no mistake, it takes years of hard training to reach the point where you'd actually be able to take on a professional boxer. But in terms of fighting your average street punk, it takes a relatively short period of time to get a sufficient grasp of boxing to be able to take him on and win, or at least make him back off.
